Notes I write so I don't have to remember everything.
Mostly for myself — but if it's useful to you, good.
· things that worked,
· things that didn't,
· and things that were... mostly nominal.

Currently looking at sensitisation in ferritic stainless grades. DL-EPR curves are behaving weirdly — might be a surface prep issue, might not be. To be continued.
I'm a materials engineer. This site is where I dump notes I'll need later — experiments, test results, things that surprised me, and things that didn't work.
The name comes from rocketry. "Nominal" means within acceptable parameters. Most of what I do is mostly nominal. Not always. But mostly.
Based at Harwell, Oxford.
Wrong place for tutorials. Right place if you've ever spent 3 hours on a DL-EPR curve that looked completely wrong.

Happy to exchange notes, talk about weird results, or commiserate about lab equipment.
